LIBstick was initially developed by the library of the Technion, academic non-profitable institute, to answer an internal need for printing labels.
During the last 18 month, due to increasing demand, LIBstick expanded to more than 100 academic libraries in 5 continents completely free of charge.
In order to keep providing the service we initiated LIBstick fee that is used for:
• Keeping LIBstick updated and relevant
• Providing support to institutes
• Paying AZURE cloud service expenses
• Giving LIBstick for free to libraries in third world countries
The fee details will be published on LIBstick site and send to all institutes during October, we are aiming for an annual fee between 1000 to 2000 USD based on the support model you choose.
The fee is per LIBstick institution account, each LIBstick institution account can be connected to a single Alma institution account.
Charging for the service is planned for the first quarter of 2021, but there might be changes due to COVID-19.
